Dr. K. Udaya Kumar obtained his Masters degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Doctorate degree from Yugoslavia. His knowledge base encompasses a wide gamut of subjects in the field of Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering. Having had more than 3 decades of teaching experience, Dr. K. Udaya Kumar has authored a number of books that are popular among the staff and students of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and other universities. He also delivered lectures over EduSat (Educational Satellite) for the benefit of entire student community of VTU and has a number of publications to his credit. He also has the distinction of guiding several Ph.D. candidates.
Dr. K. Udaya Kumar has worked as Professor of Computer Science at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT) and B.N.M. Institute of Technology (BNMIT). He has also worked as Principal of Dr. AIT and BNMIT. In VTU, he held very responsible positions like Member - Executive Council, Academic Senate and Chairman – Board of Studies (Computer Science). He also has the honor of delivering guest lectures at many universities in India and abroad. A stint at the prestigious Bharat Electronics, at the early stages of his career, complements his already impressive profile.
In addition, he is a Rotarian serving the society with the motto ‘Service above self’.
